Facilities
Hidden Hill Farm is situated on over 100 acres just north of Durham, North Carolina. The property is bordered by the Little River which provides for scenic trail riding along the river’s edge and through the woods. We are conveniently located near Raleigh-Durham international airport (RDU), and can easily arrange for nearby accommodations.
Our facilities include 37 stalls, complete with three wash stalls, climate controlled tack rooms and living quarters for 24 hour care. All of our stalls are 12' x 12' and our broodmare stalls are 12' x 24' with adjacent dry lots.
The outdoor rings are designed for true all weather riding. The 150 x 250 ring sits closer to the barns and is set up for the younger horses. The newly renovated 200 x 250 jumping ring is large enough for a sprawling hunter course or the most technical jumper course.
In addition, HHF has one of the areas only indoor arenas. Our fabric building, the same structure as Spruce Meadows, is cooler in the summer and warmer in the winter. The natural light is very horse friendly and pleasant to ride in. There are no dark corners or sun spots. Complete with custom no-dust footing, it is truly a pleasure to ride in. Finally, all of our horses are started in the 70’ custom round pen. It was designed to be large enough to comfortably canter under saddle and safely free-jump.
We offer ample turnout for the individual horse or small group, depending on the horse’s age and specific needs. Our youngest horses generally live out as nature intended, where they are allowed to socialize and develop strong bones and healthy joints. They have access to spacious run-in sheds to get out of the weather at any time.
