I am so happy I decided to send my young horse to Hidden Hill Farm to be started. Ali and Amy cared for my baby like he was their own. They tailored their training program towards my future goals and my horse's needs. I was able to visit several times and watch training sessions. I am confident their training methods have given my horse a solid foundation with no "quick fixes" or tricks that won't last. Amy and Ali were kind enough to even let me lesson on my horse for no additional charges to help me learn with my horse.
The facility is in a beautiful location and my horse was always happy and clean every time I saw him. I've had my horse since he was a day old and the thought of sending him away was so nerve racking but I had such peace of mind knowing he was happy, healthy, and in good hands at HHF. My boy has been home for about a month now and I have loved every single ride so far. I can't thank Ali and Amy enough.

I wasn't ready to purchase a horse, but I found? Hidden Hill's Remington Hill aka Spot on a website. I was in NJ and he was in NC; it felt like a long shot. I reached out to Alisa Shackelford and she was responsive and accommodating. She spoke to my trainer and was so helpful in arranging veterinarian and shipping.
Most importantly though, she was honest! She was forthcoming with his strengths and weaknesses. ?She provided this baby horse with a solid foundation and a few weeks later he's everything she said he was and more. I spoke to my trainer Genna Centolanza of Brookside Show Stable and she whole heartedly agrees. Spot is one her favorite baby horses in her program.

After trying horses at several sale barns, I was starting to lose hope of finding my dream horse. I had already convinced myself to do jumpers because I thought we could never afford a fancy hunter. Then I met Ali along with her fantastic staff at Hidden Hill Farm. When I first met her, I immediately knew she was different. She took her time to really get to know me and what my goals were. I was even more surprised when she took me to pet all of the horses I was going to try, and I had a blast meeting all of the babies too! I was very impressed with the horses I rode. The quality of each horse exceeded my expectations because not only were they flashy hunters, but they had incredible minds and dispositions too. Then I met Madison,a junior hunter, and she was stunning. I jumped my first ever 3' 6" course on her, and although I made mistakes and missed my distances she never let me down and jumped every single jump. Madison was the exact horse I dreamed I would have ever since I was little. When we purchased her, I still could not believe she was mine, and I still can not believe she is mine now. She continues to impress me every time I ride and show her. When we show people ask us where we got her from, and I am proud to say Hidden Hill Farm. Hello Ali,
We had a wonderful time visiting and trying all of the wonderful prospects at Hidden Hill Farm, but one little mare stood out in particular. Although Evelyn was only 4 years old when we took her home, she learned incredibly quickly. She had natural lead changes and is never afraid of any fences. In fact, she takes me eagerly to each one. Her first showing year, she was consistently in the ribbons, and is always excited to learn new things and jump new courses and jumps. On top of her natural athleticism and champion ability, she has the sweetest personality of any horse I've ever been around. She is truly the best horse I have ever ridden or even met, and I will never forget her. I know that she has the potential to go as high, fast, and clean as anyone could ever ask. Thank you so much Ali, for giving me such a wonderful companion and competitive partner.

There is no one out there like Ali Shackelford. We saw 18 horses and only one was in our state. When my trainer said Ali sounds like the real deal, I didn't know what an understatement that would prove to be. She is quietly setting a new standard in the horse industry. Of course she is professional and honest and fair but it is more than all that. I would say she has mastered the art of matching horse and rider.She is incredibly accurate in her descriptions of the horses, and in listening to what you are looking for. She really puts her whole heart into both her horses, and her clients. Hidden hills was worth the 12 hour drive.

I had the time of my life in North Carolina riding all of Ali’s fabulous horses at Hidden Hill’s breathtaking facility. The level of hospitality and professionalism that everyone at HHF operates on is simply unbeatable. We were able to close the sale on my new horse very promptly, due to Ali’s constant availability and assistance with everything from setting up the pre-purchase to transport for the horse to Texas. My mare, Alpine’s Violet, is a prime example of the top-quality breeding, training, and care at HHF. She is the easiest baby I have ever sat on and is exceptionally brave and smart, not to mention incredibly scopey and fancy. I have never clicked with a horse so quickly as I have with Violet, thanks to Ali’s incredible eye for a great match. I cannot thank Ali enough for introducing Reggae and I. He was the only horse that I tried at Hidden Hill Farm, and fitting with past testimonials, he was the perfect fit from the get go. Now, it is seven years later and we are still growing together. He has gracefully walked with me into new riding experiences and he continues to surprise me every day. Reggae is constantly trying to please and is such a gem to work with. His kind eyes and heart have won over many people in the state of Montana. Ripley was one of the best horses I have ever had- by far! He never failed to put a smile on my face, even on some of the toughest days.
After looking at many horses, HHF was one of the few places that had what we were looking for. It was a relief to find a place that had the same beliefs that I have when it comes to training a horse. We recently had to sell Ripley since Im going away to college, and it broke my heart. If I ever have the opportunity to buy him back, I will do it in a heartbeat. I have to thank Ali for giving me the opportunity to have such a wonderful horse. She can expect me sometime in the future for another one!

Spencer is hands down one of the nicest horses I've ever had the pleasure of owning, riding or evening being around. He has the sweetest personality, and everyone that knows him loves him to pieces. He'll do whatever you ask him to, happily! He got 4 firsts at his first show ever, and the judge even stopped me when I was done showing to compliment me on his movement and his expression. I've had many horses throughout my life, and never have I developed such a strong relationship with one as I have with Ricky. I have never met such a charismatic horse, and I feel that is reflective of how he was raised. His charm and character is translated into his performance; he always seems to leave a positive lasting impression on people. A former Olympic rider once told me during a clinic, "This horse has talent. You'll never have to worry about a thing." That is a perfect description of how I feel competing in jumpers, equitation or hunters with Ricky. He can win in all three rings. I didn't have this intention when I first got Ricky, but I now can say that he has a forever home with me.

Cole finished the year as Reserve Champion in Baby Greens. We are so happy with our guy. He competed for the first time in a grass ring at finals with George Morris judging (you can see him in the box). We had only schooled him on grass one time previous to that weekend. He is so brave now for Halley, it's wonderful to watch him grow up and mature.
